CTIA Wireless 2010: Dev Program happenings , contests, lattes, and Vegas baby!
Open Call – Apps For All! Contest
Next week the AT&T Developer Program team and I will be headed to Las Vegas for the annual CTIA Wireless show. There, we’ll be hosting the Second and Finals Rounds of the AT&T Open Call – Apps For All! Contest where developers pitch their mobile solution for a chance at cash prizes and exclusive go-to-market opportunities. We love this time of year because it gives us a chance to meet over a hundred new developers in just two days! It can be a little crazy, with just 10 minutes to meet with each company, but its also a lot of fun (especially once we get to the Awards Reception)! There is that certain buzz in the air that typically follows along “Ed McMahon-style” oversized checks and trophies.
There’s also some cool stuff going on in the booth this year. You can find the AT&T Developer Program in the AT&T booth (#6603) to see that “There’s something BREWing at AT&T!” and learn more about the AT&T SDK, including AT&T Resource Files for Brew Mobile Platform, all while enjoying a freshly ‘brewed’ latte. A little kitschy, we know, but caffeine sure does help get through the day and night in Vegas! You can also find out more information on our upcoming Code Camp series with Qualcomm on Brew Mobile Platform.
On Monday, WIP is hosting its Day For Developers at CTIA. We are really excited to be part of that great event. You can check it out here http://www.wipconnector.com/wipjam/ctiaspring10/ag
Be sure to come see us if you’re at CTIA Wireless next week!
Cheers,
Amy Pannu
