If you've ever worried about making sure your new app or website was fully compliant with the latest browsers out there, worry no more. There are new boilerplate base templates that can take the worry about being compliant with the latest browsers. HTML5 Boilerplate and Twitter Bootstrap are two such projects to get you off the ground faster!
Simply go to http://www.initializr.com/ and you can download a custom build that merges HTML5 Boilerplate and Twitter Bootstrap, thus giving you the best of multiple worlds. The custom generated template provide what you would have learned over 10+ years of coding on your own so that you don't have to go through the pain of learning what not to do. These templates cover critical items like default configurations for Apache, robots.txt, asynchronous resource loaders, caching rules, cross-browser normalization, performance optimizations, even optional features like cross-domain XHR and Flash.
On an alternate line of thought: too bad there wasn't this template for real life! You could avoid all sorts of things. Then again, sometimes there is simply the "learn by doing" aspect that cannot be avoided. And if you think this is too much automation and prefer to code from scratch each time in VIM, check out this site: http://html9responsiveboilerstrapjs.com/
So take a look at the website, download the code and let us know what you think. I've tried it out on my personal server and mobile device and it works nicely on both. Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!
