NFC will make your apps more visible and marketable
This phone is special for developers because it is Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled. NFC is a short-range wireless connectivity technology (also known as ISO 18092) that is built upon Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) technology. Examples of contactless smart card communications are ISO/IEC 14443 and FeliCa, which allow communications at distances up to 10 cm. NFC operates at 13.56 MHz and transfers data at up to 424 Kbits/second.
NFC is a technology that will enable consumers to tap their mobile devices, tap to connect, tap to receive information and share information. It will transform product marketing and distribution paradigm. For example, your mobile apps distribution could go beyond app stores. When you embed your app in an NFC tag, people can use their NFC enabled phone to tap the tag and download it within seconds. An NFC tag can be placed in a post card, a sticker or a magazine. Developers will have more freedom to make their apps visible and accessible.
