Pouring on the awesome sauce with Node.JS, mobile UI and the realtime web
Node.js is a server-side JavaScript environment that uses an asynchronous event-driven I/O model. The Node.js project was created to provide non-blocking infrastructure for scripting highly concurrent programs and has significant implications for applications that require an ultra-fast response such as apps that need dynamic navigation, games like MMO Scrabble, and interactive e-learning. In addition, Node.js can be used as an approach to applications that call for a simple yet scalable underlying architecture.
Alex Donn is a Developer Evangelist with the AT&T Developer Program. He started his career at Intel in developer marketing and has over 11 years of high- tech marketing experience. Alex’s technical and business background enabled him to conceptualize and spearhead the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon concept, which helps developers to create a community around rapid mobile app creation over the course of one day.
