Startup Weekend was  wonderful event and a chance to network with some really smart people. 

Appreciate this contest and the prize, we came 2nd at last Mobile Startup Weekend and I am planning on moving forward with the project (online ride share - mobile web app). Please visit: gocoride.com (Corider), android device would be a big help for testing etc rather than the simulator!

My startup needs easier access to the latest Android phones and also a community for meeting other developers.  We have three applications out for the iPhone and are working on a fourth app now.  We are planning on creating Android versions of these apps and could use one of the new Android phones to test on.  

Startup weekend as a great place for us to get our new app development going.  Hopefully, we'll be launching in a couple of months.  

Finally, we are looking for strategic partnerships and would love to talk to somebody from At&t.

Hey Alex,

I'm working on a GPS mobile app with some friends at Stanford. Being the poor, starving students that we are, we would be ecstatic if we could get our hands on a free Android to test our software on. We are currently trying to launch the program on iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry devices. The only device we are missing right now happens to be an Android, so this would be super helpful. Hi I was the winner of SW Bay area back in May, and we are working on an Android Game to teach children English.  More info is up on www.engleasy.com.  I think ATT can really help me in providing an Android phone to test on, but also help me market the product once we release it.  I am very excited to see the developer forums here too, which I know will be very helpful!

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the opportunity.

We are developing an app that will enable people living with HIV/AIDS to create a support network amoung their family, friends and peers, through their mobile device. Social support is a critical factor in an individual’s well-being and has been associated with better quality of life and psychological health.

We would love any guidance and insight into developing and marketing a social app and would love to be able to test our app on an Android phone.

An Android phone would be a very nice gift (and helpful for testing), but some kind of cloud-hosted sandbox would help even more.

Also, if there was some kind of facilitator to create limited beta programs, that would be incredibly useful, sometimes is hard to find people willing to experiment with buggy or unreliable software on their phones, and it's also hard to find people to help testing all over the country, not just in the are where the developer lives.
