Nokia Dev Summit registration card

I attended the ATT dev conference at CES 2012. Inside th backpack was a Nokia card with a registration code. I registered on the site attdevsummit.nokia.com.

I haven't received any updates. What was/is the purpose of this registration and code?

Will I be able to get a discount or phone on the Nokia device when released with this registration?

Nokia will be sending out an email to all registrants at the end of this month about a Nokia dev program for them to get a device.
