Our mobile application communicates with the Chat servers of Facebook and therefore requires communication on port 5222 which is the one used by the Chat server.
As far as I could see the only open ports are 80, 8080 and 443 which means that our application will not be able to function properly when used on the AT&T network.
Can you please advise on the process needed in order to also enable port 5222 for an outgoing communication?
best regards,
Eshed

Hi msonar_ed,
We are investigating your question. Are you using one of AT&T's network services APIs (SMS, MMS, WAP Push, Terminal Location, Device Capabilities)?
If not, be advised we may move your post to one of the other community forums that better matches the subject matter of your request.

Hi Jgbarber,
We are not using any of AT&T's network APIs, so please feel free to move the post to the suitable community forum (sorry for posting in the wrong one).
best,
Eshed

Hi Eshed,
This would be a difficult request to achieve.
You would need to establish a business relationship with AT&T; you can
go thru our Application on-boarding process, here's the URL for AppCenter, https://developer.att.com/developer/forward.jsp?pa
And during the on-boarding process, please consult with your AT&T representative.
thanks!

Thank you for your response. However, our AT&T contact is the one who referred us to these forums to find the answer for the same question.
Is there any place where we can find the list of ports that are open for apps to use?
best,
Eshed
