I am creating an application that relays SMS messages through the AT&T email gateway in both directions.
That is, I send a short sms message to firstname.lastname@example.org and get the reply (if there is one) at the same server that relays the initial message through the at&t gateway. I need to do it this way, because the application is international and handles many different sms/email gateways and so I can't use a proprietary format (i.e. an API).
I have tested this method for some months now and it has worked well. But just a few days ago, I started getting "InvalidPDUContent" messages when replying on the phone. I get these messages irrespective of the size of the reply that I'm sending -- sometimes it is a single word reply. And sometimes the same message that got through a few minutes previously results in the InvalidPDUContent response a few minutes later.
I've also tried using the mms.att.net gateway, but still get the same problem.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
