Unwanted sms

I often get unwanted SMS from various providers. For example, I get a SMS asking me to download

a ringone. Is it possible to stop those messages?

Re: Unwanted sms

I'm having a similar problem with one specific provider. They have ignored repeated requests to stop sending the messages. Is there a way to report this?

Re: Unwanted sms

Hi joanna531,

Thanks for your post!

All SMS messages should supportopting out by replying “stop”. If that does not work, please provide thefrom address “short code” the message is originating from.

If this is indeedcoming from a short code we will contact the vendor and ask them to removethe MSISDN (cell number) manually from their DB.

thanks

Re: Unwanted sms

It's actually not coming from a short code. It's from an email address: 8SEVENTEEN@nlt3.com. And they've ignored repeated requests to stop sending the messages.

Hi joanna531,

You can block this type of message (email to mobile) one of two ways.

1.  Reply “Block” to the message via your phone

2.  Go to http://mymessages.wireless.att.com and set up a message preference account.  Here you can create allow lists, deny lists, etc. for email to mobile traffic.

thanks
